- 3/28/08 Sent Application to AWAA
- 4/10/08 Received Application Approval
- 4/22/08 Sent Kazakhstan Program App to AWAA
- 5/2/08 Received Home Study & Dossier Info
- 6/30/08 Found Out Kazakhstan process was very backed up and no time line of when they would begin taking more dossiers
- 7/9/09 Applied for Russia Program
- 8/15/08 Finally sent in remaining initial fee for Russia after trying to figure out if we were going to lose $$ by switching programs
- 8/19/08 Mailed USCIS Form I-600A
- 9/28/08 Home Study Finalized
- 10/21/08 Mailed Finalized Home Study to USCIS
- 1/9/09 Mailed Finalized & Apostilled Dossier to AWAA
- 1/19/09 Received "Wait Mailing" from AWAA
- 2/17/09 Mailed USCIS Approval From I171-H to AWAA
- Currently waiting to be registered in a region....then awaiting a referral!
- 5/8/09 Found out we were registered into a region in late April!
- 12/22/09 Received Referral for 10 mo. old little boy!!!
- 12/29/09 Had Conf Call with International Adoption Specialist
- 12/29/09 Sent email to accept referral
- 1/7/10 Received Trip 1 travel dates
- 1/19/10 Left USA for Russia!!
- 1/21/10 First Visit at Orphanage & MOE Appointment
- 2/22/10 Fingerprint Appts for USCIS
- 2/25/10 His 1st Birthday
- 3/13/10 Received Updated Form I-171H
- 3/17/10 Received COURT DATE for April 6th!!!
WOW, its beautiful! We were there in spring and summer so did not get to see the ice sculptures:) Seeing that hotel brings back soo many memories...we didn't stay in the apartment. I bet you ate at New York...that was our favorite restaurant. They had the best lattes and a menu in english:)
